Since opening in 1987, our office has provided service in good faith to our clients as a patent office specializing in the chemical industry. During this time, we have earned the trust of many of the largest chemical companies in Japan and have successfully continued to grow to the point where we are today.

In January 2011, with the objective of quickly meeting the needs of new advanced and diversified intellectual property work, we incorporated as the “Ohtani Patent Office” and strengthened our management base.

Presently, the office has over 70 employees, including 3 partner patent attorneys, over 25 patent attorneys that have abundant corporate experience or are young and energetic, and technical and administrative staffs. With the aim of becoming a “global patent office trusted by clients and respected in industrial and intellectual property circles,” we provide the “highest quality service available, based on a high level of specialized knowledge and experience.”

In order to be better able to quickly meet the need for a wide variety of services resulting from developments in our clients’ businesses, we hire and train outstanding personnel and plan improvements to make our business management system more complete. Also, we have taken appropriate steps to ensure information security.
